We’re excited to see a Citrix announce today (6th March 2026) that they are expanding UHMC entitlements to include full access to Citrix Secure Private Access (SPA). For many organisations, that means new Zero Trust access capabilities are already available within the licenses they own today. Citrix Blog post announcement here
Previously, Secure Private Access within UHMC was largely limited to Windows 365 use cases. With this update, customers can now use SPA more broadly for Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) and secure connectivity scenarios. The best part is there’s nothing customers need to do to receive the entitlement — it’s already included.
At Com-X, we’re genuinely excited about this update. As Citrix ANZ Partner of the Year 2025, we spend a lot of time helping organisations simplify their digital workspace environments while strengthening security, increasing entitlement like this SPA announcement helps customers do exactly that.
Why This Matters
We find that many organisations today are juggling multiple solutions to deliver secure access to applications — legacy VPN platforms, disparate ZTNA tools, and other security layers that often don’t integrate well together. Over time this can create a complex, disjointed environment that’s harder to manage and more expensive to maintain. With Citrix Secure Private Access included within UHMC, organisations have an opportunity to simplify that architecture and deliver secure application access through the Citrix platform they’re already using. Instead of stitching together multiple products, customers can move towards a digital workspace that is designed to work together.
What Secure Private Access Enables
With the expanded entitlement, organisations can now:
- Provide secure, application-level access to private applications using Zero Trust principles
- Support VPN-style connectivity where required during modernisation
- Move towards a ZTNA-first approach that reduces risk while improving user experience
- Apply consistent access and security policies across applications
For CISOs and IT leaders, this can mean fewer moving parts, simpler management, and a stronger overall security posture.
This is a chance to unlock even more value from UHMC
One of the things we regularly see at Com-X is organisations not always realising the full capabilities that exist within their Citrix licensing. The inclusion of Secure Private Access within UHMC is another great example of how customers can unlock significant additional value from their existing platform.
It also helps reduce the need for separate access technologies, which can ultimately lower costs and simplify operations.
